In the last 5 decades, very few Danes have worked so passionately and intensely with ethnic and religious minority issues as Ole Hammer.
I have known him, sought his advice and had critical dialogue, ever since, I started working with minority issue back in 1984.
In this interview, we discussed his early involved in debates, research and cooperation with minority NGOs, his many publications, advice to government authorities as well as minority organisations.
We also discussed the changing nature of societal debates, harsh tone and the influence of right-wing political parties on the lives of ethnic minorities. We also asked him to tell us about the future of integration of non-European minority groups.
